I will admit that sometimes I wil begin eating an apple and then not finish it. I know it's a bad habit. But that is why I started to do this with my leftover apples. I found this yummy recipe in Runners World and I have to say I love it! It tastes like a mini, healthier option to Apple Pie and it is super easy to make!
Ingredients: 2 Gala Apples 1/4 cup of brown sugar 1/2 cup of Granola 1/4 teaspoon of cinnamon 2 tablespoons of craisins 4 teaspoons of margarine Almond Extract Honey
Directions: 1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F 2. Prepare an 8-inch cooking dish with tinfoil 3. Cut apples in half and scoop out the core 4. Place dollop of margarine in the middle 5. Sprinkle brown sugar, cinnamon, granola and craisins on top of apples 6. Place a dash of almond extract on each apple 7. Drizzle honey over the apples and place in the oven 8. Take out and enjoy!
